Version 4.0 of
The Friendship Compass Star $74USD each
with the center 1"square bevel at an angle, so the corners point to the 4 cardinal directions... Version 3.0 has the bevel in a horizontal/vertical plane. If you have a preference for the previous version, please specify when ordering... otherwise I will default to this newest version, which is my personal favorite.
Each hand crafted stained glass compass star measures 4 1/4" in diameter, yet contains over 7 linear feet of copperfoil tape. Every individual piece is precision cut and refined to exacting dimensions.
Every Compass Rose is totally unique in the combinations and placement of differing colors and textures of glass. At some point in the future I may have a set of standard, stock items, but for now, I am simply pleased to say that each star, just as each owner of a star, is unique and individual. No two are ever the same.
Colors are either carefully blended of a single primary color of differing shades and textures or of 2 or 3 differing colors... depending on your preference.
The four basic winds, or cardinal points, N.S.E. &W, are always cut from clear, highly textured, "cracked ice" glass, which compliments the square bevel in the center of the rose with its radiant fire and ice display in direct sunlight.
After all, when you find your direction, it's always clear.
The rest of the color choices are entirely up to your own imagination...
you choose them!
Order your Compass Star from the above photos, through the Contact page. If you prefer custom colors of your choice, I will create them in the order which they are received, in colors of your choosing, both in shades and textures which will delight the eye and bring a smile!
Each Compass Star is $74 USD, plus shipping and handling.

How it all started...
A couple of years ago, there were three particular friends in my life for whom I felt compelled to create something special. One was a dear friend who was moving far away. A second had been like a sibling to me. The third had helped me through some tough times. All three had done more than they could have imagined, through their truest of friendships. They each had made a difference in my life.
This compass rose star was borne as a way for me to say "Thank You" to each, in a way that will last forever and remind them of how they shine.
"It was remarkable how strongly Andy's design of the Compass/Friendship Star resonated with my wife and I as a perfect way for us to celebrate our own wedding anniversary. We appreciate the fine craftmanship of the two stars that catch light streaming into our living room and also how Andy imbued each with the spirit and sentiment that both represent. Thanks Andy."
